Music is in our DNA

At ºÚÁϳԹÏ, students with a passion for music are encouraged to explore a wealth of opportunities to showcase their talent and refine their skills. While music holds a valued place within our curriculum, it is in the co-curricular space where our bands, vocal ensembles, choirs, and instrumental groups truly come to life with a wide range of performance opportunities.

Ensembles

Not only is it fun to play with your peers, ensemble participation challenges and stretches students’ knowledge of music.  They build on their ability to read music, follow a conductor and play as part of a group. The ensembles include Stage Band, assorted Choirs, Festival Orchestra, Senior & Junior Strings, Senior & Junior Concert Band, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Pipe Band, Guitar Ensemble, Flute Ensemble and Veeh Harp.

Opportunities to Perform

Throughout the school year we provide our students with a wide range of opportunities to shine through their performances, from assemblies, Orientation Days, School Musicals, along with Speech and Foundation Night. We also have a large contingent of students represent 51³Ô¹ÏÍøÔÚÏß at the Heads of Independent Co-Educational Schools (HICES) Music Camp each year that culminates at an evening gala performance at the Sydney Town Hall.

  • Attendance: If you are unable to attend your lesson, PLEASE GIVE YOUR TUTOR AT LEAST 1 WEEKS NOTICE so that they can try to reschedule your time.
    • Lessons which are missed (without 1 weeks’ notice) due to excursions, incursions, assessments or any other reason will NOT be made up and will be charged to your account.
    • If you are sick on the day of your lesson you must contact your tutor prior to 7.30am so that they can reschedule lessons for the day.
  • Storage of Instruments: Students’ instruments may be left in the Orchestral Locker Room, situated on the left-hand side of the courtyard. This room will be locked at the end of each school day, but students should ensure they take their instruments home over weekends, public holidays and over the holiday periods.

is for the players, the creators, those who want to get inspired and inspire others. We're here to help people follow their passion. Sometimes that passion needs to be understood and nurtured at an early stage. That's why we have partnered with Andrew Young and ºÚÁϳԹÏ.

We've made choosing an instrument easy and affordable for parents. Learning music should not be unattainable because quality instruments come with a high price tag. We have personally selected the instruments on offer and we believe that having a quality instrument at home gives your child the best experience and opportunity to develop both their skills and passion for music.
