In Years 3 to 6, ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï students take part in camping trips, as part of our Other Learning and Experiences (OLE) Continuum.Ìý
Held in Term 4, these multiday events are mandatory for all students, who explore new places and adventures, with their peers, in a supervised and supportive environment. We take learning beyond the classroom and into nature for immersive, enriching experiences.
Year 3
Students in Year 3 stay for two nights in dormitory accommodation. Activities include:
- Rainforest Walk and Environment Session at Minnamurra Rainforest
- Kayaking at James Oates Reserve
- Fishing
- Snorkelling
- Rock pool swim in Kiama rockpools
- Hike to Kiama Lighthouse
- Games and team challenges.
Year 4
Students in Year 4 stay for two nights in dormitory accommodation. Activities include:
- Low ropes
- Flying fox
- Mountain biking
- Bushwalking
- Campfire damper making.
Year 5
Students in Year 5 stay for two nights. Activities include:
- Snorkelling
- Kayaking
- Bushwalking
- Beach activities
- Taronga educational session
- Stunning walks around Chowder Bay and Bradley Heads.
Year 6
Students in Year 6 spend three nights sleeping in tents. Activities include:
- Surfing
- Stand-up paddle boarding
- Archery
- Abseiling
- Indigenous cultural session.
The cost of these trips is included in the Distinctives Levy.
